FOR ARCH 2001 Final Report
Allow me to balance the 12th International Construction Trade Fair FOR ARCH 2001, the trade fair with longest tradition in the field of building industry in the Czech Republic. This year the FOR ARCH confirmed unambiguously that it is an important international meeting, a prestigious event which has been maintaining its solid position in the system of trade fairs organized in this country.
More than 1,200 exhibitors, more than one hundred thousand visitors, over one hundred foreign exhibitors from 15 countries of Europe, Asia and Africa - all these are the facts which mean that the FOR ARCH is far the biggest fair in Prague, and the second or third one in comparison to all trade fairs organized in the Czech Republic.
Special and social accompanying events - meetings, workshops and competitions, of which the 9th CONSTRUCTION PROJECT OF THE YEAR was again an excellent show of the best projects implemented by Czech firms - are a natural part of the trade fair.
This year the FOR ARCH was again held in the Prague Exhibition Centre at Praha - Letňany, which had passed through the first stage of its reconstruction during the summer months. Perfect concrete floors in stationary halls, new asphalt roads, substantial increase in the number of sanitary facilities are the examples of adaptations the exhibitors and visitors could appreciate this year. What is more, we prepare another important changes - heat insulation and overall improvement of the Hall 1, completion of reconstruction of Hall 7, new stationary catering facilities, additional stationary sanitary facilities. We have also been considering the construction of the new Hall 3. In close proximity of the area the construction of fly-over crossing of the city circle road and the Prosecká/Beranových street, which will lead the transport to the entrance gate of the Exhibition Centre, should begin early in 2002.
For the next FOR ARCH, we will accentuate a new topic: Engineering Infrastructure, Intelligent Building; we would like to consolidate both the technical aspect and social function of the trade fair. The trade fair will again bring a new quality for presentation of the building industry in this country.
Based on the results of the last trade fair, allow me to invite you heartily for the FOR ARCH 2002.
