17th International Building Trade Fair "FOR ARCH"

Dear Business Partners,

Please allow me to make you familiar with the 17th International Building Trade Fair "FOR ARCH". The trade fair is traditionally a highly expected event in the field of the building industry. For the time of its existence it has established itself as a very comprehensive presentation place for all building specialisations and directly connected branch fields and it fulfils all criteria imposed on a prestigious trade fair event. The term "FOR ARCH Praha" is perceived, not only by the professional public, as a wide range of the offer of products, technologies and services in the building industry.

The trade fair will take place from 19 to 23 September in the Prague Exhibition Centre in Letňany (PVA Letňany) which has undergone further upgrading in comparison with the last year's event (construction of 2 new firm exhibition halls). Last year the trade fair was attended by 1,028 exhibitors arriving from 15 countries of the world, occupying a net exhibition area of 22,772 m2. The number of visitors achieved 106,495 persons. The last year of the International Building Trade Fair "FOR ARCH Praha 2005" was evaluated by professionals as one of the most successful years for the entire time of organisation of this prestigious event in the field of the building industry and architecture (EUFORUM research).

For this year, the ABF Trade Fair Administration has decided for organise seven accompanying trade fairs parallel with FOR ARCH:
  • Intelligent Buildings and Telecommunication (IBT - components for intelligent buildings)
  • Wooden Buildings (1st international trade fair for constructions of wood)
  • For Computer (9th specialised trade fair for hardware, software, reproduction technology, information systems and technologies for designing and building)
  • For Vertical/For Lifting (12th international building trade fair of lifts and lifting technology)
  • For Tech (12th international trade fair for building machinery and mechanisation)
  • For Invest (2nd international trade fair of investment opportunities)
  • For Sport (1st international trade fair for constructions and equipment of sports facilities and gymnasiums)

An integral part of the trade fair is formed by professional conferences and competitions during which we cooperate with a majority of professional associations, unions, guilds and other professional institutions.

Conference topics: wooden building, energy performance and buildings, security systems for windows and doors, without barriers, sustainable investment development of the Czech Republic, new building legislation in the EU member states, tower buildings. Competitions: Building of the Year, Transport Building of the Year, Competition of Apprentices of Building Trades (SUSO), The Golden Seal (competition for the best professional publication), Grand Prix and Top Arch (competition for the best product and exposition), Joke for FOR (competition exhibition of drawn cartoons, Student's Project of the Year.
